What is the 3D Printing Summer Camp?
Our 3D Printing Summer Camp is a hands-on learning experience where kids will explore the exciting world of 3D printing and design. Over the course of a week, they will learn to create, slice, and print their own 3D designs while gaining a solid foundation in 3D printing technology.
Who is this camp for?
We offer two sessions each week:
Morning Session (9 AM - 12 PM): Beginners (4th & 6th grade), focusing on Tinkercad for basic 3D design.
Afternoon Session (1 PM - 4 PM): Intermediate (7th - 12th grade), focusing on Fusion 360 for more advanced design skills.
Where is the camp located?
At the 3DPmom Lab located at Palomar Forum Business Park in Carlsbad, CA.

When does the camp run?
The camp runs 5 days (Monday-Friday), you can sign up for any week that fits your summer schedule the best. You can also sign up for one or more weeks based on availability.
What is the cost of the camp?
The price per child per week is $325. Discounts may be available for siblings or multiple weeks—please contact us for details.
Curriculum & Learning Experience
What will my child learn?
How to design 3D models using Tinkercad (beginners) or Fusion 360 (intermediate).
How to export, slice, and prepare files for 3D printing.
How to operate a 3D printer safely and troubleshoot common issues.
The basics of 3D printing materials and settings.
How to bring their own creative ideas to life through 3D design.
How many projects will my child complete?
Each child will complete multiple projects, including a custom name tag for their lanyard, small functional objects, and a final creative design of their choice. Our goal is to complete a 3D printed object for each student to take home at the end of every class day.
Do they need any prior experience?
No prior experience is required! The camp is designed for beginners and those with some exposure to 3D printing who want to refine their skills.
What equipment will my child use?
We provide everything needed, including Bambu Lab 3D printers, computers, filament, and supplies. Your child does not need to bring any equipment.

What is the daily schedule?
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Beginners) / 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Intermediate)

Where do I drop off and pick up my child?
At the 3DPmom Lab located at Palomar Forum Business Park in Carlsbad, CA.

Check-in and check-out will be managed by our camp staff at the door. We will only release students to the adults identified in the registration form. Please contact staff if you need to make alternate arrangements for drop off and/ or pick up.
What if my child misses a day?
We will do our best to catch them up, but due to the hands-on nature of the camp, we recommend attending all five days.
What safety measures are in place?
All 3D printers will be monitored during use.
Safety instructions will be provided before operating equipment.
Camp staff will supervise students at all times.
Can my child bring their own design ideas?
Absolutely! While we have structured projects, we encourage creativity, and campers can work on their own ideas once they grasp the basics.
Will my child get to take home their printed projects?
Yes! All completed prints will be sent home with the student. If a print job takes longer than the class period, we will have that item ready for the student at the beginning of the next class..

What is the refund policy?
If you decide to cancel your registration, please send an email to 3dpmom@gmail.com with the student details and camp dates.
Cancellations made at least two weeks before the session start date will receive a full refund.
Cancellations within two weeks of the start date may receive a partial refund or credit toward a future session.
Cancellations after the camp has started will not receive a refund.
Will you be taking photos/videos during the camp?
We may take photos/videos for promotional purposes. If you prefer your child not to be included, please indicate on your camp registration.
